Why pass a test?

Psychometric tests are used to determine the specific behaviors or characteristics of a person in a given context. They assess general behaviour (personality, motivation, etc.) and fundamental skills such as reasoning, communication, leadership or emotional intelligence.

They are used by employees to make the right choice when changing careers or jobs, and by employers to confirm their choice of candidates in a recruitment process.

The tests offered by FlairTech are based on the normative concept, as opposed to the ipsative concept. Normative personality questionnaires are best suited for selection assessments.

This type of test allows for the comparison of individuals, the key issue in a selection process. They provide a comparison of a person's scores to the reference group, which allows them to arrive at a more factual reflection of traits.

Normative tests provide an assessment of inter-candidate differences, i.e. of candidates in relation to each other, whereas ipsative tests provide an assessment of intra-candidate differences, i.e. of a candidate's qualities in relation to himself or herself.
